Get to Know the Happi Studios Team: Lily Moeller
Meet Lily
Lily Moeller joined the Happi Studios team in early 2023, but she was a devoted member of Happi long before that. We caught up with Lily to learn about her background and learn what she loves about working at Happi Studios Hobart.
Lily, tell us a bit about your movement practise.
For me, movement is the foundation of my mental health and wellbeing. I originally started building a movement practise when I was in university as a way to reduce my stress levels. I still remember being soooo nervous when I first started! I wouldn’t set foot in the gym alone. But, once I worked past that, I saw how exercising made such a huge difference to my mood, energy and focus. Now, I can’t go without it!
How did you get started teaching Reformer Pilates in Hobart?
After graduating from university in 2018, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I knew that I loved movement and working with people, so I decided to do my Cert. III & IV in Fitness. After completing that, I spent some time teaching bootcamp classes and doing personal training at a local gym, but it wasn’t really my vibe. But, when I tried KX Pilates Hobart I instantly fell in love with Reformer, and the rest is history! I have taught Reformer Pilates in Hobart for over 4 years now at a few different studios, but Happi Studios really is my ‘Happi-place’.
What do you love about teaching at Happi Studios?
I love so many things about teaching at Happi Studios, but what is coming to mind immediately is the focus on mindful movement. I also love being a part of such a welcoming, fun and encouraging community. And finally, I love being a part of such a talented team, I learn so much from the other instructors.
