THE STUDIO

  • We are located on Level 1 of 154 Liverpool Street, Hobart. You’ll see our sign on the street – enter the building and walk up the stairs to level 1.

  • We do not have reception services outside of class times, so if you have questions or would like to arrange to visit the studio, please email us at hello@happistudios.com.au to schedule a time.

    For attending classes, our studio is open 15 prior to class start time.

  • Happi Studios has three bathrooms, two showers and a large vanity room with a curtained changing area. We provide body wash, a hair dryer and straightener, hair ties and sanitary products.

    Please note, our studio and all facilities are unisex.

  • There is paid street parking along Liverpool Street in front of the studio and in nearby streets. From 6pm to 8:30am on street parking is generally free in these areas.

    There is also free parking for the first hour in the Centrepoint car park behind the studio.

  • Unfortunately, we cannot provide child minding services and ask that children are not left unsupervised in reception during class.

REFORMER

  • We are so excited you are thinking about trying Reformer with us.

    Our REFORMER classes are suitable for people who have no previous experience – in fact, we love having brand new clients like you because we get to share our passion with you.

    We walk you through everything, step by step, and guide you through each movement. Our instructors are trained to correct your form and give you personal adjustments to help you get the most out of class.

    You can expect a fun, dynamic and strengthening workout that leaves you a little sweaty. Most people say it feels like the 50 minute class flies by, because they are so focused on the movements that they lose track of time. You will walk out of class feeling great – stronger, happier and proud of what you’ve accomplished.

    Like anything new, it takes time to learn Reformer Pilates. We always say it is like learning to ride a bike – it might feel weird or awkward or hard at first, but then all of the sudden you’ve got it! We don’t expect you to nail it the first try, and neither should you. Give yourself time to settle in, learn new skills and improve your physical and mental health. You’ve got this!

    Whole Body Workout
    Reformer Pilates targets multiple muscle groups, providing a great full-body workout that enhances strength, muscle tone, and functional fitness.

    Our Reformer classes incorporate exercises that specifically target the core muscles, helping to build a strong and stable core, which is essential for overall strength, flexibility and posture.

    Low-Impact & Joint-Friendly
    Our Reformer classes are low-impact, reducing stress on the joints while still delivering an effective workout.

    Improved Posture & Flexibility
    Happi Studios Reformer Pilates classes focus on alignment and posture. Over time, you can improve your posture, increase flexibility, and reduce muscular imbalances.

    Mindful Movement
    Reformer Pilates emphasises mindful movement and body awareness. By focusing on proper breathing techniques and concentration during exercises, practitioners can develop a stronger mind-body connection and improve overall body control.

    Injury Prevention
    By strengthening the core, improving posture, and enhancing muscular balance, our classes can help prevent injuries related to poor alignment or weak stabilising muscles.

    Stress Reduction
    Reformer Pilates releases endorphins, promoting a sense of well-being and reducing stress levels. The focused and controlled movements can also provide a meditative experience.

  • By combining regular Reformer Pilates workouts with a healthy lifestyle, you can achieve your weight loss and fitness goals over time – but this isn’t a crash diet or a fitness fad. It’s about building a movement practise that builds you up, physically, mentally and spiritually.

    So, with that in mind, how long it will take to see results from Reformer classes (or any type of exercise) depends on your consistency. We suggest attending 2-3 classes per week to see optimum results.

    After a few weeks of 2-3 classes per week, you can start feeling positive changes in your body. Maybe it is feeling a little more energised during the day, or holding less tension in your shoulders.

    After a couple of months of consistent practise, you can start to see improvements in yourself. Many clients notice they can see a little more definition in their muscles, as they improve strength and muscle tone, or notice they are standing taller and straighter. You may start noticing increased range of motion and improved flexibility as well.

    After a year of practise, you’ll look back and realise how far you’ve come. You’ll benefit from all of the things mentioned above, as well as all of the joy that being a part of a supportive, inspiring community can bring you.

  • Please arrive early to class for a smooth check-in experience. We recommend 10 minutes.

    The door will be locked upon class commencement, and no late arrivals will be allowed entry into class.

  • Wear comfortable clothes you can move, sweat and stretch in. We recommended gym tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet.

  • Please bring the following to class:

    Grip Socks
    Water Bottle
    Sweat Towel

    Don’t have what you need? We sell grippy socks, drink bottles and sweat towels in studio.

  • Yes! Grippy socks are mandatory in all Reformer classes for your safety, health and hygiene.

  • We can offer support if you are working with an injury or issue that impacts your ability to perform certain movements. All of our instructors are trained to offer modifications and individual adjustments for our clients.

    However, for serious injuries or other medical issues that may impact your ability to participate in class at please email us at hello@happistudios.com.au to discuss. We may ask that you supply medical clearance prior to attending class in these cases.

    On arrival at the studio, please always let your instructor know of any injuries you may have so they can provide any necessary modifications.

  • Congratulations on your pregnancy!

    Yes, our REFORMER classes are suitable for prenatal clients. To continue attending classes beyond 12+ weeks, we require medical clearance from your GP or OB-GYN. Please email us at hello@happistudios.com.au to request the required forms to get started.

    Please note, our REFORMER PLUS + and RIDE classes are not suitable for clients who are 12+ weeks pregnant.

RIDE

  • Let us start by saying, we are so excited that you are interested in riding with us!

    RIDE is 100% beginner friendly. We take you through everything, from setup to finding the beat to adding in choreography. Like learning anything new, it takes some time to get the hang of it – but that is a part of the process! We all started at the beginning, just like you, so we get it. Take you time, ride to your own level, and trust the process.

  • Our RIDE class is a rhythm ride workout. Here is what is unique about RIDE’s focus and style compared to traditional spin classes:

    Music & Choreography
    RIDE is all about feeling the music! We incorporate choreographed movements on the bike, like tap backs, sways or dips, that match the rhythm and beat of the songs. This adds a dance-like element to the workout.

    Immersive Experience
    Just like spin, our RIDE classes give you an intense cardio workout – but with a little more emphasis on having fun! We create an immersive atmosphere where our clients can zone in, enjoy the music, and have a great time while working up a sweat.

    Motivation & Mindfulness
    Our instructors guide you through the class, motivating and inspiring you. They also bring elements of mind-body connection and mindfulness, so you can get in touch with your body and mind.

    Approachable & Beginner
    Our RIDE classes are suitable for all fitness levels, including those who are brand new to indoor cycling! The choreography and movements can be modified to accommodate different skill levels – we are here to guide you through, beat by beat.

  • Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to class for a smooth check-in experience. For your first class, please arrive 15 minutes before so we can show you how to setup your bike.

    The door will be locked upon class commencement, and no late arrivals will be allowed entry into class.

  • Wear comfortable clothes you can move in – and don’t mind getting sweaty! We recommended leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet.

    Please avoid wearing loose clothing as it might get caught in the pedals.

  • Please bring the following:

    Drink Bottle
    Sweat Towel

    We supply Shimano Indoor Cycling Shoes that clip-in to the pedals on our bikes.

  • Depending on the injury or medical issue that is affecting you, we can offer modifications. However, due to the nature of RIDE, our ability to give you one on one support during class is limited. For this reason, we suggest taking time to recover after any injury or surgery before starting RIDE classes. Listen to your body, and make the right decision for your needs.

  • Unfortunately, our RIDE classes are not suitable for clients who are 12+ weeks pregnant.

BOOKINGS

I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT...
  • Easy! Download our Happi Studios app by searching ‘Happi Studios’ in your device’s app store.

    From there, open the app and sign up to create an account. You can then purchase your 5 Classes for $60 Intro Offer and book the class you’d like to attend.

    You can also book directly through our website. Head over to our SCHEDULE page and select the class time you’d like to reserve. This will prompt you to purchase a package, after which you’ll need to confirm your booking for the class time you want.

  • Don’t worry! If a class is fully booked and you wish to attend, just add yourself to the waitlist.

    If you’re on the waitlist and a space opens for you, you will receive a notification (via email or text) and automatically be added into the class.

    Please note, if you are accepted into class within the eight-hour cancellation period and you can no longer attend, the cancellation policy will apply.

    If you are on a waitlist but can no longer attend, remove yourself from the waitlist. This avoids being placed in the class if a space becomes available and potentially being charged a cancellation fee.

    Spots become available for waitlisted clients with as little as 1 hours’ notice, so be sure to remove yourself from a waitlist if you can no longer attend the class.

  • Can’t attend a class you’ve booked? No worries!

    There is an eight-hour cancellation window for members and class pack holders to cancel their class. This ensures everyone is looked after and has an opportunity to attend class.

    Just go to your app or the website, click on the class you’d like to cancel, and click the button to cancel your booking.

  • For clients who are on a Membership with unlimited access, there is a $5 late cancel fee when late cancelling a class.

    If you have a Class Pack or have a Limited Membership, you will forfeit your class when late cancelling, but you will not be charged an additional fee.

    All no shows will forfeit their class and be charged a $10 no show fee.

  • Unfortunately, we lock our studio door upon class commencement out of respect for other clients, instructors and your safety. As such, if you miss the start time of class, we will not be able to admit you into the session. Please always allow extra time to ensure that you don’t miss your class.

    We cannot refund missed classes and clients who are not in class upon commencement will be considered a no-show.

  • We kindly ask that you avoid leaving class early whenever possible. However, if you do need to leave early, please let the instructor know at the start of class that you’ll be leaving early.

MEMBERSHIPS & CLASS PACKS

  • Yes! We have an introductory offer of 5 classes for $60, valid for 14 days from the date of the first booking.

    This is available once to all new clients and can be purchased through our Happi Studios app or on our website.

  • Students receive 10% off full price monthly memberships and pack purchases!

    To get your discount code, please email hello@happistudios.com.au with a copy of your current Student ID card.

    We require an updated copy of your Student ID Card every 6 months.

  • Nope! We don’t have lock-in contracts or sign-up fees.

    We want your commitment to be on your terms. Once you're committed, we are here to support, motivate and inspire you!

    If you do need to cancel your membership, please give us 30 days’ written notice by emailing hello@happistudios.com.au and we will update your account for you.

  • Which option you choose will depend on your personal needs. Here are some considerations to help you choose which option is best for you:

    You should sign up for a Membership if…

    • You want to attend 2+ classes per week.

    • You want to build a solid fitness routine.

    • Apart from a week or two here and there, you are consistently able to attend classes.

    • You want Happi to be your go-to studio!

    You should purchase a Class Pack if…

    • You can only attend 1 class a week or every few weeks.

    • Your need more flexibility – you don’t have a set routine right now.

    • You travel a lot for work or have other commitments that keep you from attending class every week.

    • You enjoy Happi classes but have other activities in your schedule as well

  • Memberships

    If you’re going away on holidays or need to put your membership on hold for any other reason, please give us one week notice (email hello@happistudios.com.au) and we’ll sort it out for you.

    Suspensions can be applied for minimum one week, up to four weeks per year. Extended suspensions beyond this will incur a $5 weekly administration fee.

    Class Packs

    As a general rule we do not suspend or extend Class Packs due to their set expiry date.

  • The commitment may be over, but the love affair isn’t… we still have Class Packs!

    If you need to cancel, please get in touch with our team in studio. All cancellations need to be finalised via email.

    Please give us 30 days’ written notice to hello@happistudios.com.au.

  • We are here to help! Please get in touch with us by emailing hello@happistudios.com.au and we’ll be able to swap you over to a new Membership option.

  • Oh no! Our payments are debited on a fortnightly basis via our third-party payment processing partner, EzyPay. Declined transactions will incur a $14.80 reprocessing fee.

    Please ensure sufficient funds are available on the direct debit date to avoid being charged this reprocessing fee.

  • We are committed to your health and wellbeing and confidently maintain the highest standards of health and safety for our members and team. Rest assured, as we stay up to date and follow the guidelines set by Safe Work Australia.

    We have the following safety procedures in place:

    • All staff hold current First Aid & CPR Certificates.

    • We stock basic First-Aid supplied and have an AED device in the studio office in case of an emergency.

    • Hand sanitiser is available upon arrival.

    • Disinfecting Wipes are provided to clients to clean equipment after each class.

    • Staff members carry out basic cleaning after each shift.

    • Professional cleaners are engaged to clean the studio three times per week.

    We kindly ask that if you are feeling unwell, show symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has, to please rest and stay at home.
